Tom Lyon

Judge Edward J. and Ruey L. Guirado Chair in Law and Psychology

USC Law is an ideal place to be a professor.  It combines intellectual rigor and hard work with Southern Californian cordiality and sunshine.

What I love about USC Law is the way it mixes disciplines together.  As a psychologist and a lawyer, I found USC Law uniquely hospitable to my interests in both fields, and in my desire to pursue research that would have practical value for legal practice.

Another great thing about working here is the students. They are the happiest I have ever seen.  They are dedicated without being cut-throat, intense without being arrogant.
